New for 2007 - Adult Sailing Lessons!
The kids are doing it, so why not you? It’s time to sign yourself up for sailing lessons and learn what all the excitement is about. This year SMSC will again offer adult lessons. The course is open to novice sailors and will cover the basics of safety, knots, terminology, reading the wind, skippering, crewing -- basically getting the boat to go where you want it to go. We will be using 420s, a double-handed dinghy, which means you may get a little wet.
The goal of the course is to get you introduced to the sport and feeling comfortable enough to steer yourself around the lake, with the confidence that you can handle any problem that may blow your way. We provide a safe, fun, relaxed atmosphere with quality instruction and equipment. Enrollment will be limited, so sign up early. If you want further information, please call Heather Spurling at (705) 645-9230.
